Bukan Hanya Gunnersaurus, Inilah Maskot Tim-Tim Premier League

Nexify - Nama Gunnersaurus menjadi bahan pembicaraan belakangan ini. Hal itu terjadi setelah Arsenal memutuskan untuk memecat maskot mereka tersebut.

Gunnersaurus adalah maskot Arsenal yang berbentuk dinosaurus. Sosok yang berada di dalamnya adalah Jerry Quy.

Quy sudah mengenakan kostum Gunnersaurus sejak 1993. Namun, ia harus kehilangan pekerjaannya karena pandemi Covid-19.

Dengan tidak adanya suporter datang ke stadion, Arsenal menilai kehadiran Gunnersaurus tak lagi diperlukan. Karena itu, The Gunners memutuskan untuk memecat maskot ikoniknya tersebut.

Kabar pemecatan Quy ternyata sampai kepada Mesut Ozil. Gelandang asal Jerman itu siap menyumbangkan gajinya untuk membayar gaji Quy.

Ngomong-ngomong soal maskot, semua kontestan Premier League memang punya maskot. Maskot sebuah klub biasanya menjadi penghibur para penonton di stadion.
